    1. [HANDLEY-L] Re: Samuel Hanley, VA to PA 1775-1886
    2. Hi, all. This search was pretty interesting, so I thought I'd send it to the Handley-L group as well as to Michelle. Not sure if she is a member of the list or not. There is an Elizabeth Shoenfelt who married Samuel "HAINLEY" listed at Pam Haithcock's page at: http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/h/a/i/Pamela-S-Haithcock/GENE2-0002.html under the children of Tobias HANLINE and Elizabeth MILLER. The Hanline surname is also spelled (on the same page) HENLEIN, HANLINE, and HANLEIN, as well as HAINLEY. Tobias was a child of Jerich (George) Caspar HANLINE (HENLEIN). So if this info is accurate (only web page for proof), Michelle's Samuel Hanley might be from this line, and German, not Irish. I found the info doing searches through Interactive Genealogy, http://victorian.fortunecity.com/literary/463/inter-gen2.html Nancy Sween >>Original message dated 3/10/2000 3:01:39 AM Central Standard Time, michelle@digitaldominationstudio.com writes: << Hello, I am researching the Hanely line and in particular, one Samuel Hanley (6ggfather) who married Elizabeth Shoenfelt in 1817 in PA. I am searching for his parentage and am at one huge brick wall. I have been told that he is related to the families of Ballykilcline evictions in the mid 1800's (Rosecommons). www.ballykilcline.com So far, this has proven fruitless, though I must recommend the site. Lots of information. Including the evicted families, which ship the came to NY from and even an assumed pic of the Hanley house. Lots of descendancy links as well with the spellings: Hanley, Hanley. At any rate, I'd love to share. My surnames are (bolds are directly connected with Hanley, Hainley: BAETZEL, BRANSON, BROWN, CABRAL, CALI, CALIMER, CAROL, CASANOVA, CASTRUCCIO, COIL, COOK, CRUZAN, DAVID, DONALDSON, DUFFY, DUNBAR, ECCARD, FORD, FUENTES, GOLDIE, GREEN, GRIGGS, GRIGGS-GREEN, GRIM, GUIOL, HAINLEY, HANLEY, HAYS, HOCKENBERRY, HOKOM, HOOKS, HOPKINS, HURLEY, HURST, KENT, LANKFORD, LIZER, MAGRUDER, MALONE, MASON, MASTINE, MCCRAY, MCNULTY, MYERS, NAGLE, NUNEZ, PEGGY, PERRY, PETERS, POWELL, PRUITT or PREUTT, RAWLINS, REININGER, ROBINSON, ROSS, ROUILLON, SACKETT, SAMANIEGO, SCHULTZ, SENTOUS, SHOENFELT, SLICK, STEPHENS, STERN or Stearn, STONE, STOTTLEMYER, THOMAS, TOMS, TRUITT, VIET, WAYNANT, WEDDLE, WOLFE, WOODWARD, ZUNIGA Thanks, Michelle Ross >>
