MyFamily sends you a personal code to join, and only people who are invited can find the site. We can upload pictures and files, and can also set up family tree info, without having your own GED COM program. It's all free. The family tree info can be made public, but I'm not sure if the pictures and file data becomes public beyond our own group or not.
