    2. Paul Hanly
    3. Hi all, just to let you know that I have updated a family tree for the branch of the Hanly family in australia that is descended from Daniel Hanly of Roscommon Ireland. Have a look at Bellingen Gen Web (URL below my name). Click on the picture, go to archives and follow the link to the Hanly section. There is history, obituaries, life stories, and a family picture dated about 1931, Great Depression time in rural Australia. Paul Hanly Rhodes, Sydney, NSW, Australia Searching for family (particularly siblings, parents and ancestors) of Daniel Hanly, b 1840 Roscommon, IRE, migrated to Australia abt 1863 (ship unknown), m 1865 Margaret Danaher in Port Macquarie, NSW, settled at Spicketts Creek later called Brierfield, about 10 km from Bellingen NSW. Daniel is believed to have father Michael, Mother Catherine ("Hanly" is shown on Daniel's death certificate as her Maiden name, but his could be a mistake). He may have lived in townland Brierfield, Cloonygormican, ROS about 1850 - 63. He may have been born in Elphin, ROS(according to his wife's obituary). He may have been a schoolteacher about 1855 - 1863.
