Welcome to the group, Annie. << Subj: james Date: 11/18/1999 6:45:27 PM Central Standard Time From: annie@eoni.com (Annie Follett) To: HANDLEY-L-REQUEST@rootsweb.com looking for any hanley's of mississippi.there was 5 bro's jon thomas, michael, lawerence, patrick, james. all was suspose to have come from ireland when james was a baby he was borned in 1866. all was put in orphan ( except pat) in 1870 at Natchez, mississippi. i have the record of this. but it only listed parents as dead. have a copy of letter lawernce wrote my grandmother in 1923.this was 3 yrs. after grandfather had died in 1920. why was he still there as he was old by this time the Diocese of jackson said they had no record of him. wish there was some one who knew a little of these people. i know tom and wife are buried at wesson, miss. was told years ago that grandma's name was hattie. and that she is buried in the same place we could find stones and home made ones, of aucle tom and his wife. is ther any one that can help. aucle pat is the one mother talked of the most. he was raised by some one who. he died in mobile ala.1918. and uncle mike was suspose to have died in a auto wreck, but this is hear say. the family seem's to have moved and spread . well enough. any out there annie >>
