My Great Grandmother, Anna Handley, was born in 1847 in Canada. It is her father, John, I am searching for. I would assume he was born anywhere from 1790 to 1827. I have not a clue as to where in England he was born. The woman he married was born in New York of native American decent. All of the information I have was obtained from a 1900 census. Dodge City, Kansas. My great grandmother was a widow by this time and had only one child living with her. The child was my grandmother Grace Mendal Geedeson b January 16, 1887 Dodge City, Kansas. My grandmother's sister, Clara Ruth Geedeson was b May 8, 1878 Council Bluffs, Iowa. I found a newspaper obituary for two of Anna Handley Geedeson's children who died in 1887 in Dodge City. Their names were: Lettie Geedeson b 1880 d June 29,1887 and Jonny b 1883 d July 13, 1887. If any of these dates show up on your Handley records, let me know.
