    3. DESCENDANCY OF JACOB RANSFORD COLBY with POSSIBLE connection to Hannah Colby I can't find the source for this information, but this is what I have for Jacob Ransford Colby. I even remember reading that he was always called "Ransford" and never Jacob. The LDS Vital Records Library in the LDS Family History Suite shows 2 more wives for him: Silvy Galpin and Emma Colby. I distrusted this and disregarded it. 1-- Jacob Ransford COLBY (1821-1907) sp-Margaret SAMPSON (1832-1873) 2-- Martha COLBY (1849-1849) 2-- Cynthia COLBY(1849-1850) 2-- Jacob COLBY (1850-1850) 2-- Isaac Ransford COLBY (1851-1916) sp-Mary Ellen HOOPES(1850) 3-- Isaac R. COLBY (1878-1962) sp-Elizabeth Catherine KILLIAN (1855) 2-- Mary Elizabeth COLBY (1856-1932) sp-Anders (Andrew) Peter ANDERSEN (1850) 2-- Abram Thomas COLBY (1859-1919) sp-Jullette MINCHEY sp-Hannah CHILD (1830) 2-- Mariam COLBY (1865-1870) 2-- Charles William COLBY (1868-1870) 2-- James Henry COLBY (1870-1941) sp-Lois Virginia TWITCHELL (1870) 2-- Sarah Melissa COLBY3 (1872-1898) * * * * * * * Hannah Colby married Henry Alanson Teeples Dec. 15, 1868 in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City, UT. Unless she was a VERY SMALL child-bride, she would have to have been born among the earliest of Ransford's children, born back in Nauvoo. But, all those babies DIED! UNLESS!!! If there really were 2 more wives for Ransford, one (or more) having been married to him in Nauvoo, then it is possible that this Hannah could be from that marriage!! How can we find out the real story on the other families?
