I'm looking for the parents and siblings of James Madison Hancock b. abt. 1811 in SC (Possibly Newberry Co). He married Nancy "Nannie" C Asbury abt. 1845 in Sumter Co., GA. The family remained in Sumter through the 1870 census before relocating to Butler Co., AL where they're found in the 1880 census. James remained in Butler County until his death in 1884.Some time after James' death James' wife Nancy relocated to Rome, Floyd Co., GA, where she died in 1906. The couple had a total of 10 children all born in Georgia including Nancy (b. 1846), Permelia (b. 1847), Francis (b. 1849), Martha (b. 1852), Sarah (b. 1854), John (b. 1858), Anna Belle (b. 1861), Thomas (b. 1863), Alice (b. 1866), and Julia (b. 1868).
