Harry, Do you know of anyone checking on Edward J. Hancock of Washington Co., MD? My ancestor was born in Washington Co. , Md about 1801 according to the small obituary in the Shippensburg Newspaper. You may want to look into New Jersey for your Hancocks in Washington Co. Md. I know that the ones in Somerset were from New Jersey.Just a suggestion.
