    3. Anderson Hancock's middle name was Jackson. I have also seen messages where he was referred to as Andrew Jackson Hancock. His family was from Va and Ky. I believe he was connected to the Hancocks in Boone and Fountain Co Indiana. His wife was from Indiana and they may have moved back there after Anderson's death, before returning to Illinois. His wife, Rebecca died in Springfielld Illinois. Could his name have been spelled differently? The program I was using is available to us free from our public library, and is VERY sensitive to spelling. If you have any other names to try, or different spellings, I will try to look it up again. 3. EdnaRuth, One more quick note. There is also a Rebecca in the 1910 census. she is with(either visiting or living) her daughter and son-in-law. Wheatley, James 44 KY " Lillie 41 " (she could have been born after the census was taken. Maybe Rebecca was pregnant when the census was taken. She would be just the right age.) " Lillie M 16 KY HANCOCK Rebecca 81 KY mother-in-law. Widowed. mother of 7 living children. This census was in Union Co. KY. The town was part of Mag. Dist. # 6. Page 190, Roll 504. All the ages seem to fit. I think it could be Anderson's widow. In the other census, there are 6 children, and this Lillie could be the 8th child. She could at the point of the 1870 census have a married son or daughter. Have you found their marriage license , or know where they were married? Becky
