I would love to find out any information on JOHN MILLS HANCOCK. My gr-grandmother, Mary Henwood, was born in Stoke Climsland, Cornwall, was married to William James Francis. They had two children, Sidney born in 1862 and Minnie Ann born in 1864. William was killed in a mining accident, and Mary married John Mills Hancock sometime between 1864 and 1869. I believe that John Mills Hancock was born in Exeter, Devon, birth date unknown. I do not know the name of his parents. I have found a John M. Hancock married to a Mary Francis Henwood 31 January 1869 at Old Church, Saint Pancras, London. I always thought they came to the United States in 1867, so this might not be the right one. I did find them in the 1880 U.S. Census in Brewster, New York. Any help would be much appreciated. Astrid (Laurel, Maryland)
