Hi Sue, The parents of William M. Hancock are Mary Irby b. c1821 in TN and Isom M. Hancock b. c1819 in GA. I believe that he is the Isham Hancock on the 1840 Mississippi, Choctaw County census. In 1850 and 1860 he and Mary were in Marshall County, Mississippi. On the later census his son always stated that his fathers birth place was NC. So apparently he is one of the North Carolina Hancock's but figuring out which one is a chore that I have not accomplished. Odessa ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue H.
