    3. Becky; Thank you for the information on Anderson Hancock. I have just started working on this line after a tip I received, so I don't know if they were mine or not; but Eliza. E is the right age to be my Elizabeth Hancock. And there is a Rebecca Jane there. My Aunt Jane was supposedly named after a sister of Elizabeth's. There were very few Hancocks on the Fountain County census records for 1860 and 1870. The WPA's for Fountain Co led me to check in Boone Co. A family of Hancocks had moved to Stone Bluff in Fountain Co that had an Elizabeth about the right age to be ours, so I assumed it was. After all, we did have the marriage records. Well it turns out, I was wrong, while my Elizabeth was married and living in Vermillion Co Ind, in 1880, this one was at home. Since Fountain co, she had lived in Edgar and Vermillion Co Illinois. She married and died in Vermillion Co Il. I feel the families do connect and tips from Boone county Indiana led me to check out Anderson or Andrew Hancock in Edgar county. So I still don't know if there was a match or not, but do appreaciate the info you sent. At least I do know that Eliza. on that census is the right age. My Elizabeth has a birthdate of May 1856 on the 1900 census. Here is her info: Hancock, Rebecca 42 KY " George T. 21 Illinois " Eliza E? 14 " " Rebecca J. 11 " " John W. 9 " " Tibitha 4 " " Sarah A 1 " The 1860 census index doesn't seem to be very good, but I hope this helps you. It was in the 1870 Zanesville, Montgomery Illinois census, page 304 Regards, Becky At 08:29 PM 8/10/2003 -0500, you wrote: >Anderson Hancock's middle name was Jackson.
