    3. DEATH AND OBITUARY NOTICES FROM THE SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN ADVOCATE 1867-1878 Issue of April 12, 1867 Richardson Hancock died in Madison County, Georgia, on 20th of February 1867. He was born in Franklin county, North Carolina, 27th Oct 1789, moved to George in the year 1811, was married in 1812, and joined the M. E. Church soon thereafter.... C. A. Mitchell Issue of November 22, 1871 Lucretia E. Meritt, daughter of M. C. and S. B. Grace, was born Oct. 22d 1829 in Thomas co., Ga., where she died Oct. 14th 1871. She was first married to James Hancock, afterwards to Elijah Meritt. L. M. Sutton Issue of September 23, 1874 Mrs. Caroline Webster, wife of Major Wm. Webster, and daughter of the late Dr. William Hancock, of Union co., S. C., formerly of London England, was born June 17, 1816 died in Spartanburg co., S. C., June 12, 1874, leaving a husband and two daughters. Issue of August 14, 1877 Crawford Hancock was born in Jackson county, Ga., August 17, 1811, and died in Hall Co., July 4, 1877, aged 66 years. Issue of October 23, 1877 R. J. Hancock was born in Jackson county, Ga., February 9, 1839; married Miss Sallie Pendergrass in 1868; died in Jefferson, Ga., July 6, 1877.
