Elizabeth Spencer, born about 1675, married about 1693 to William Hancock, Jr., born 1674, sonof William Hancock and Elizabeth Cockroft, grandson of Simon Hancock and Sarah Gye, and great grandson of William Hancock (1580-1622). Elizabeth Spencer was a daughter of Col. Nicholas Spencer, Jr., born 1633 in Bedforeshire, England, granddaughter of Nicholas Spencer (1611-1644) and great granddaughter of Nicholas Spencer born 1573 at Bedfordshire.
