Hi Tom and all, I spoke with my son, Gentry, in Martinsville, VA, this morning and he has been very busy for us! First to tell you is he found out that there is going to be a Hancock family reunion at Fairy Stone State Park (about 15 miles from there) in Patrick County at 1:00 on this Sunday. He and his family (with our little 8 year old Virginia HANCOCK Z.) are attending and he will take your information with him and ask around. He spoke with a friend of his, Desmond Kendrick, who is Vice President of the Henry County Courthouse Association and the Archivist who has made a special study of the cemetaries in Henry and Patrick counties, and Desmond is going to help him on this project. Also, he spoke with a friend who knows where the old Hancock place is and will follow up on that. So we're off to a good start, I think. I'm living in Florida now so can't do much looking myself, but I'll be there in Virginia for a week (leaving Wed.) and will catch up on what I can with him.
