Served as an Ensign. File WC 11580. ! Marriage mentioned in Wilson Co TN marriages. Bondsman was Major Hancock ! Went MO 1820, returned to VA and then moved to NC (most likely he actuall lived in TN near the NC border.) ! The Pension file does not mention living in NC or an earlier wife. The book "Wilson Co Marriages" by E.R. Whitley page 15 mentions "Nellie" West and bondsman Major Hancock. ! Abstract of William W. Hancock's will dated 6 Apr1863 in Clay County, NC (Clay County is near the western edge of NC) !
