    1. Re: [HANCOCK-L] John Alexander Hancock
    2. Julia, I thought I remembered talking to you before. As you can see I still have not gotten any further with my line. The line I am trying to connect to is a group of Hancocks who came from Va, Ky, Tn, Al, and then MS. I guess this is a route they sometime traveled to go west. I did find Tarleton, Leman and John L Hancock in the 1850 Wayne Ct, census. They have Tabatha which is there mother as being born in Va and living with John L in 1850. My mother seems to remember a John L that had 9boys.I have been hunting the census records in Wayne and Copiah Ct but some of them are really big. I go onto Ancestry.com and for 1860 Copiah Ct, there is 500 and some pages. I have John L,Leman, and Tarleton as being born in Tennessee. I guess I need to find a index for Tn because I do not know which County they may have been in. This has been one of my most frustrating lines. Since,my mother is a Hancock and we can't get further back then her grandfather. I do hope some one can help. Thanks, Mary
