"I am descended from Isham Hancock from him through John Larkin Hancock (1797-1850). John Larkin had four children and had one slave. He was in the 1840 and 1850 census of Pike Co., Georgia. Isham drew in the 1805 Georgia Cherokee Land Lottery. This is recorded in Book P page 148 in Franklin Co., Georgia. He was married at the time of this draw. He drew again in 1820 and received lot 205A in Walton Co., Georgia. My grandmother has a copy of this certificate.
