I would like to know what Hancock line James came from.This is what I knowJames was born in 1804 in VA.as he was 46 in the Madison Co. 1850, he married a Mary??? and had several children in Licking Co. OH. I live in Licking County, Ohio. I am just starting my resaerch on my Hancocks. My grandmother was Nancy Lynn Hancock (1912-1986) from VA. She married George Hinkle (1910-1988) from PA or Maryland. It is probably a coincidence that I live in Licking County...I have lived in 9 states. But if I can be of any help here in Licking, let me know.
