I have already been to your site. In fact i would say that i have seen just about every internet document on this family line. I am familiar with Richard Wade. I know that he was captured at the Salt Lick with William, and that he was marched to Detroit with around eight other men not including William, who escaped. Stephen went on the salt making trip with the 26 other men, but was not captured because he had returned earlier with two other men to deliver the first pack horse salt load to Boonesborough. (Lucky fellow!) Are you related to Walter O Hopkins who wrote the book called "Hopkins of Virginia" This book details this Hancock families vital statistics. When you say 'application' do you mean a rev. war pension application, or do you mean SAR/DAR application?
