Regina, I am looking for family of William H. Hancock who died in Jasper Co in 1836. (was born in Henrico Co VA in 1786). Wm was married in 1818 in Oglethorpe Co, near Greene Co. and was disinherited by his father. All I know about Wm. H. is what is above and am interested in any wills that might mention a son of that status or any other indication of a Hancock family with a son missing without explanation. It's possible that the rest of his immediate family was not in Georgia, but I think that he must have had some relatives there. Oh yes, I forgot that I do know that he came to Georgia for "health reasons."
