    3. Hi Bill, Sorry to take so long to answer but my server has been down for a while due to all the storms we've been having. I really do not know much about Polly's maternal side. I do know that Walter Nash's first initial was J. and that he was b. (supposedly in VA) in 1844 and that he served in the CW---I assume on the Confederate side. That is all that Aunt Polly knew of her mother's parents. Her mother was adopted in Carthage, TX around 1870-1871. So, as you can see, anything is possible! Sorry I could not be of more help.
