Descendant of Stephen Hancock, as follows: 1. Albert R. Hancock (b. 1846) m., 1880, Mary Sutliffe (b. 1857). 2. John Hancock (1799-1853) m., 1833, Mary Leake (1809-93). 3. Francis Hancock (1772-1831) m. Minna Selby. 4. Stephen Hancock m. Margaret Cromwell. Stephen Hancock (1747-1809) served as private, 1780-83, in 1st and 3rd regiments, Maryland Continental Line. He was born in Anne Arundel County, Md. The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Volume 96

    3. Stephen Hancock wasn't born in Md. Stephen and William Hancock took oath of fidelity in 1788 in Anne Arundel Co Md. Stephen had a son named stephen and so on and so on.They are an interesting lot.I have gathered quite a bit of info on them only to find they weren't of my line .No one else is researching this line as far as I can tell. Have found one person who was looking for an Elizabeth who may possible have been of that line.He will let me know if it turns out to be.
