His father was William Robert Hancock b. 1879 in Crawford County, GA d. 1936 in FL married 1898 to Missy Irene Ellington. William Robert Hancocks parents were: William Green Hancock b. 1844 Crawford County, GA d. 1908 in Wilcox County, GA. married 1869 to Rebecca Temperance Watson. William Green Hancock's parents were: Jeremiah Brady Hancock b. 1810 Wilkinson Co, Georgia d. 1861 probably in Crawford County, GA. married 1835 Nancy S. Hatcher . Jeremiah Brady Hancock's parents were: William Hancock b. 1777 in NC d. 1850 in Crawford County, GA married 1805 to Nancy Hatcher.
