I think I have my answer from Jerry Hancock's WorldConnect site: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=hanser5&id=I00108 Jerry's Martha "Patsy" (Bartlett) Hancock appears to be the dau/o (Capt.) Thomas Bartlett and Mary Foster, thus Thomas Barlett and my hubby's Isabella Susannah (Bartlett) Graves were siblings. Their children, Martha "Patsy" (Bartlett) Hancock and Nancy Ann (Graves) Hancock, respectively, were then first cousins. But...their HANCOCK husbands evidently are not of the same lineage. Interesting! John HANCOCK line, as (Capt.) John HANCOCK from Louisa County, VA was also in Woodford Co., Fayette Co., & Franklin Co., Kentucky before moving onto Ohio. (Capt.) John HANCOCK married Nancy Ann GRAVES, whose family was from Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Nancy Ann GRAVES was the dau/o Thomas GRAVES & Isabella Susannah BARTLETT. Isabella (BARTLETT) GRAVES was born ca 1737 Spotsylvania Co., VA and died Apr 1818 Fayette Co., KY, being the dau/o William BARTLETT & Susannah DAVIS of Spotsylvania Co., VA. Henry Co., KY mentioned in the information for the new William HANCOCK match, is adjacent to Franklin Co., KY where our HANCOCK-GRAVES appear. Was Martha BARTLETT related to our Isabella BARTLETT. I would love to make contact with the person who has this BARTLETT history, as he may share a common link to my hubby's BARTLETT lineage. Does anyone know if there is a BARTLETT DNA testing going on? >From Julia's webpage http://www.small-stuff.com/HANCOCK/DNA/chart1.htm "Their son, Capt. Simon Hancock was born in 1744 in Prince William Co., Virginia and died about 1830 in Henry Co., Kentucky. He was married to Martha Barlett April 1796 in Woodford Co., Kentucky. She was born between 1760 & 70 in Spotsylvania, Virginia and died about 1834 in Henry Co., Kentucky." This is getting more and more interesting, as results come in. This is Chart# 1 and establishes a definite Haplotype for that line. The Most Recent Common Ancestor (MRCA) is Samuel Hancock who married Johan Ligon. Samuel was born in 1675 and died in 1760.
