Is there anyone on the list researching HANCOCK or HANCOX in Kilmersdon, England? My earliest known ancestor is George HANCOX b. abt. 1801 in Kilmersdon. He married 05 Feb 1827 in Kilmersdon to Esther MOORE b. abt. 1801 in Kilmersdon. They had several children born in Kilmersdon, including my great-great grandfather, Solomon HANCOCK b. 1831. Shortly after January 1836 the family went to Bedwellty, Glamorgan, Wales where several other children were born. In the early 1850's many of the children came to Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania and one son, John, went from Wales to Australia. Although the church records in Kilmersdon spell the name as HANCOX, signatures of my ancestors in their own hand spell the name HANCOCK. I have extracted all of the HANCOX families I could find from the Kilmersdon church records in the early 1800's. I'm looking to connect with others who had Hancock's in this area.
