I am just now connecting an idea I had to what you sent------- does it seem to you that middle names were used from surnames? If so this could really connect families. Mine used middle names of Bowen and Tilllllman, and Newton. I see you list some,,,,,, like Graves and Monroe. I've looked for when my John Hancock should have been in VA, and I see those surnames also.
