Hi everyone. I've been with the list awhile, but hardly post because I haven't been working on my Hancock line very much. I would read and if any names or places were familiar, I saved them for later. I am now searching for my Hancock family. I know very little, but here's what I do know. My great grandfather was Chester Hancock (birth and death dates unknown) He married Nancy Lynn Hurt (AKA Nancy Simms Hurt) born Dec 15, 1882 died Aug 9, 1942. They were married June 27, 1905. Nancy Hurt was from Pittsylvania County, Virginia. I do not know where Chester was from. They had several children, including my grandmother, Nancy Lynn Hancock b, May 29, 1912 in Pittsylvania County, VA, d Nov 1986 in Montgomery Co, MD. I remember she mentioning several brothers WHO MAY HAVE BEEN Chester, Philip and Henry. Can any one help? I have extensive research on the Hurt's but have come up empty on the Hancock's. Denisa
