This is in response to the Hancocks in Talbot and Upson counties (Georgia). I have been searching for several years for the following GG grandmother: Malinda Hancock married Phillip Cato in Talbot County Georgia in 1848. Malinda Hancock was born in Georgia abt 1829. Later she was in Upson County and there she applied for a widow's pension (CSA) in Upson County. One of her sons, Hartwell Jackson Cato is my great grandfather who married Vallie Green in Pike County (Now Lamar County, Ga).
