"Mrs Ollie Hancock Dies At Evansville" Mrs Ollie Hancock, 74-year old resident of Evansville (Ind.) and formerly of Fairview (KY.), died this morning at Welborn Hospital at Evansville following a brief illness. She had been ill only a few days following a heart attack. The body will be brought to the Wood, Fuqua & Davis Funeral Home (This is in Hopkinsville, Ky) tonight where it will rest until the services. Final arrangements had not been completed this afternoon. A native of Christian County, Mrs. Hancock had made her home in Evansville with her son Threil Hancock, since the death of her husband in 1936. (He was called "Jessie" but I believe his name was James Monroe Hancock Jr. and he was killed by his sister's son) In addition to her son with whom she lived, Mrs. Hancock is survived by three other children, Gus Hancock of Delray Beach, Fla., Mrs Wilton Taylor of Fairview, and Larry Hancock of Lexington, Ind., and 6 grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, Denton Major of the county(Christian) and a number of nieces and nephews. The notes in ( ) were added by me from other facts I know.
