Hi Bob, I noticed that you added the "Ross" to Lewis Hancock's name. So far, no one has ever been able to show that Lewis had a middle name of "Ross"---at least as far as I know. Lewis and Frances Frankye Adams Hancock did name one of their sons Lewis Ross Hancock b. May 25, 1829 in Wilson Co., TN; d. May 21, 1893 in Limestone Co., TX where he is buried in the Hancock Family Cemetery. He was md. to Mary UNK who is also buried in the same cemetery. Lewis and Frankye also had a grandson named Lewis Ross who was the son of their son, Charles Jackson. Wish I could help you with your quest for the other Lewis Hancock. The Lewis in Greene Co TN is the one I am looking for. He is not Samuel Lewis OR the one who married Frankey Adams (who was a son of Benjamin and nancy Corn.). Samuel Lewis is a Wilson Co Hancock and of course Lewis "Ross" married Frankey. I think Lewis died before 1820 in TN and perhaps did not leave a family?
