Jean, are the dates correct below? I have a few that are slightly different. I don't think that Mary Corn with whom her mother was living at her death, had any children. So she couldn't have handed the bible down to a child. I will check her will to see if it is mentioned. She is the one who founded Sharp's College for Women in Winchester, TN, and at her death she freed her slaves and paid for their transport to Liberia. BTW, my husband is descended from Margaret (Peggy) SHARP, sister to the four who married CORNs. Hi Julia, I agree with you that Mary did not have any children---according to my notes. As for the dates, as I said, I did not do the original research myself so I just posted what I have gotten from other Corn researchers. I will always yield to family line researchers when I have not actually seen the documents. I would love to have the corrected dates when you have some time to send them to me. I did put in my notes section where I got the info so future researchers would know that they may be subject to change.
