Is there anyone on this list who has the correct info on Andrew W. Hancock. The IGI lists 2 Andrew W. Hancocks both born in 1811, one in March, and one in August. Some claim his name as Andrew William Hancock, and the other is Andrew White Hancock. It is possible both are the same person, with the birth in March and the christening in August. There is an Andrew W. who married Amelia Yeargin ( spelt a number of different ways), and an Andrew W. who married Elizabeth Clayburn Hancock. This could also be the same Andrew W. Hancock since the marriage to Amelia was about 1832 and the marriage to Elizabeth was in 1854. Anyone have proof or can send me in the right direction? Ardath

Hi Ardath I have no info, but another possibility about the birthdates (March vs. August 1811) is that the birth month of "3" was misread as birthmonth of "8", or vice versa. This has happened in my non-Hancock side of the family.
