    3. Thank you, Alvis, I truly appreciate the information that you shared. I will add this to my little historical summary on what I learned about them. This is very historically interesting to me, as I had never heard of them before or the term. They certainly then were even some of the pioneers of Georgia. Such a shame that they were exploited and the butt of many jokes. I understand from the reading that I did do that they were predominantly in Georgia and Florida. Do you know where the name CRACKER or CRACKERS came from? It appears there is a debate as to the origin of the word, just as there is a debate as to where the term HOOSIER originated.
