Oh for Florida storms that come through in a vengeance and soak right through the sand, instead of this continual dripping that transforms hard clay into fields of mud. Despite the weather, next time anyone's out this way, come on over. With my kinfolks all back in GA and FL, I don't get much company. : ) Mitzi in Northern CA
Mitzi, Where in N.California. I was born and raised and married there. Lived in Utah twice, Montana twice and California a great part of our life but came back to settle in the 4 season area in Utah. Live just south of Salt Lake and have the best of the research world here. We volunteer and work in the BYU library 2 days a week and can run to SLC when we have time. I have children in Ukiah and Rhonert Park as well as here in Utah. I was raised in Sebastopol on an apple ranch. We used to wade through the mud in the corral when rounding up the 20+ head of milking cattle and had to milk by hand when it flooded and the powere went out for 2 or 3 days. Those were 'the good old days'? I got depressed while in California when it rained and was overcast. Here if it is snowy weather it is bright and you can brush it off. Love it.
