    3. I have searched in several counties, to let you know, that 1860 census was Edinburg Township. Is in the bottom portion of Johnson County, and connects to German town, Bartholomew co. I searched both in 1870, the families are not there. I am now partially through Fountain Co. am checking those closest to the Vermillion border first. Only 4 yrs till they get married, according to what you posted, is pretty close, when do they move too Vermillion county? Problem is coulld be living in Vermillion, but married in Fountain, depends on Vermilllions marriage records/so forth. 3. Tori, Again Thank you so very much for helping me. I really don't know when the Hancock's moved to the Vermillion / Fountain Co Area. The Grimes lived in Fountain Co in 1860. They were married in Fountain Co. I'm really sorry but I don't know if either of them lived in Vermillion County before they were married in 1874. I couldn't find any of them in 1870. I'm not actually sure if Robert is the right Elizabeth's father. Robert had a daughter named Elizabeth that was the right age and their birth places are to same as the parents of our Elizabeth's parent's are supposed to be. I have found two other Elizabeth's the right age but their parents birth place didn't match. I now have a note saying there is a fourth, and that the parents birthplace does match, however I have not checked it out. His name is William and his wife's name is Sally, Apparently they also had a daughter named Elizabeth that was near the right age to be ours. I guess the mother died just two years before our Elizabeth married so if she is ours she may have moved from Boone Co. to Fountain/Vermillion Co. around 1872 , and could have been living in someone else's home. This Elizabeth had a large family though. so if she is the right one it seems unreal that when Thomas died she chose not to go to any of her relatives and instead raised her children in a different state alone. That doesn't make sense but I guess often life doesn't make much sense. At any rate I now have two matches so i need to check out both of them. I am so grateful for your help. Thank you very much. Have a beautiful day, V.
