A few weeks ago, there was a question on the list about the Hancock/Sayer connection. Information I have on these families is sketchy, but hopefully helpful. Arthur Sayer and his wife Elizabeth, of Princess Anne County, VA, had the following children: Frances Margaret Mary Charles This list is from their wills. Arthur Sayer's will was dated 24Feb1754 and proved 20Oct1761. Elizabeth Sayer's will was dated 11Sept1765. In Arthur's will, all children are listed with the last name of Sayer. In Elizabeth's will, she lists her daughters only by their first name, then adds sons-in-law, John Hancock and Peter Singleton as her executors. In further records, I have proven that Frances Sayer is the daughter who married John Hancock. In further researching this connection, I found that John who married Frances Sayer was the son of William Hancock and Anne ________. Arthur Sayer was an executor of William Hancock's will. I'm still working on these Hancock's to further identify them. Lisa
