Hi Kate, In the 1860 census Minnesota Wabasha CO. Cook Valley P.O. on pg. 179 It is really hard to read census. Some of the names I couldn't tell what it was. Hancock, Orin A 57 b. NY Farmer Meriba? 48 PA ? A. 17 Male Farmer Silvia 21 F Michigan Eliza 19 F " Orin 14 M " Edward 12 M " ?all 7 M " Next household Hancock, Samuel 30 PA " , Elvira? 26 NY " , Adellaide 4 MN " , Elizabeth 1 MN Coon? , Alice 11 PA Servant Hancock, David 34 Canada Carpenter Winter, Winter 30 NY Farm Laborer Could this Samuel Orin's son? Since his wife was born in Pennsylvania, and Samuel was from Pennsylvannia maybe he's their son. The ages fit. I will look in the 1850 census the next time I go to the FHC if you want. I hope this helps. Becky At 10:48 AM 9/3/2003 -0400, you wrote: >Has anyone seen the name Orin Asa Hancock b. western NY 1803, married to >Meriba Hall b. Penn?
