    3. Thanks for the offer. I actually have a copy of the book you are referring to, so I do have the article. Simon is my direct ancestor and I do have lots of information on him. I haven't found the records from my discussions with Arvil about this particular William, but will find them eventually. 1. [HANCOCK-L] RE: Look up request for V Mayfield
    2. Janet Szymanski
    3. Hi This is a request to V. Mayfield. My Hancock remains a mystery, any help or direction you could offer would be greatly appreciated. My ancestors name was John Hancock. He married second Katy (Catherine) Ramey in 1811 Shenandoah Co Va. His possible birth date was 1764, he died April 10, 1830 in Monogala Co, W VA He died the year they moved to Morgantown W VA in 1830. This was definitly a 2nd marriage for Katy (Ramey) Brown Hancock We think it may also be a 2nd marriage for John but have no way to verify. We are looking for any mention of him that would reference his parents or where he came from. Also do you have the date of publication and the author for Families of Virginia. Thanks for any help your willing to offer.
