Hi Folks, I hope some of you watched the PBS special last night about the Bubonic Plague in Europe in the 1600's. It seems that a woman named Elizabeth Hancock buried several children who died with the plague but she was never affected with it. According to the folks on the special, there is a certain "gene" that several people were born with and they did not suffer from the plague---including Elizabeth Hancock. I am sure there will be a repeat of the special and it is quite a fascinating study. If you want to read more about it, go to http://www.pbs.org/ http://www.pbs.org/wnet/secrets/ click on all case files in top right corner, highlight Mystery of the Black Death. Jean Hancock in TX
