    1. [HANCOCK-L] Another DNA Result Posted
    2. We have a new result, and I don't know what to make of this near match. The new result, # H 11400 is only four mutations from # H 08983. The criteria that we use is that if there are more than three mutations, it is not considered a match, therefore, I have not colored these two results as matching. It is possible that an unusual number of mutations have occurred in matching lines, or that the common ancestor is several thousand years ago. In the latter case, it would be a waste of time to try to find where they connect. Ideally, we should try to find another distant male relation to one or both of these lines to test to see if mutations have occurred in this line that are more than the normal, and could, perhaps, provide a bridge between these two, to prove that they are related. http://www.small-stuff.com/HANCOCK/DNA/results.htm Julia
