    3. Hello Hancock Family researchers, I am new to your list and would like to take a few moments of your time to tell you a bit about my research goals. Robert S. Hancock, according to the 1850 census, was born in TN about 1809, but the date varies with the census. He lived in AR at least until 1878 because he sold a piece of land which is documented. I can trace him from the present day to that time period but cannot determine who his parents and siblings were. His descendant has joined the HANCOCK DNA project and has taken the Y DNA 111 test. The results placed him in Group 01. There are a few leads and in an effort to understand the potential links I am currently reading your list archives to try to learn some of the research you have already completed. I hope that you will not mind if I ask for direction or answers to my questions. Wishing you a good summer and good luck in your research I send Kind regards, Roberta
