Hi Deloris, I did miss this email, sorry. I can't quote prices on the Rootsweb.com list but if you go to the "Join" page and scroll down, you will see all the prices. http://www.familytreedna.com/group-join.aspx?Group=Hancock If your brother matches any other Hancock or Group of Hancocks his test will be placed in that Group and you will can see and compare genealogy to, hopefully, further your research. You will be able to see your matches on a personal webpage and can correspond with them. Julia In a message dated 2/9/2013 11:51:48 A.M. Hi Lisa, I can't find my book on North Carolina Soldiers in the Revolution. Were there more than one John Hancock listed in Craven County? I ask because the one listed next to James Hancock (my ancestor) is John Hancock of Carteret County, NC. He lived long enough to draw a pension from Carteret. He states that his brother, (James), kept a journal (I wish I had that) and that another brother who lives in Wake County (William was in Wake County along with, James' son, Robert) has the family bible. (I wish I had that, too). Julia In a message dated 2/4/2013 10:21:44 P.M. Central Standard Time, lisacraven@northstate.net writes: Lea, I'll send the info I have on Samuel later this week. One interesting thing I found in John's Rev. War file is that he enlisted in Craven County, NC. Why was he in Craven County? Samuel was in Augusta, GA when he enlisted, but he was living with his uncle, Francis Hancock. And Samuel moved to Montgomery Co., NC in 1792. Who was the Samuel Hancock in Montgomery Co, NC in the 1790 census? Question after question....never ending with this group of Hancocks!! Hello Julia, I have a question. My father's DNA is #136448 and on the smallstuff site, he was in the green group (I think). Now on the new page, he is in no group. Is there something that I need to do? Also, if I am wondering about going to the 37 marker or higher?
