Thanks Julia for your quick reply. You are exactly right. I am just exploring all of the possibilities. It is hard to find any documentation from that time period, to find where he came from.I have always wondered if he and Dearham really were brothers. Our line comes from Hector's granddaughter, so we would have to search for a male descendant from one of his sons. His haplogroup is different from all the other ones, and when I looked it up, it said it was from the region of Austria. I didn't put it there, but it seems it is related to the haplogroup. Some of them did end up in Scotland and Ireland. How reliable this information is, though, is a mystery to me.
