It would be great if we could find male descendants of Nathaniel & Benjamin to test so we would know for sure, but their names don't appear in any other North Carolina lines. I will see where I lost track of those Hancocks....I think the mysterious John J was a descendant of one of them and possibly the Thomas who was a sheriff in Randolph County NC might be descended from them.
