Julia * Test # H08899 & # H08902 -- * William Hancock born in SC and married in Hamilton County, TN to Rebecca VanderGriff who was born in TN, is believed to be the father of the below, James Clayton Hancock. * James Clayton Hancock was born 9 Jan 1829 in Hamilton County, TN and died in 1904 in Okatha, OK at the home of his son, James Monroe Hancock. James C. was married on 13 Nov 1851 to Amy Reynolds who was born 24 May 1826 in Hamilton County, TN. She died in Jan 1890 at St. Joe, AR. Their children were: Lewis David Hancock, Mary Leiticha (Letita) Hancock, Rebecca Elizabeth Hancock, Milly Emeline Hancock, John Francis Hancock, James Monroe Hancock, Sarah "Lou" Luranie Hancock, and Stephen Alonzo Hancock. * Stephen Alonzo Hancock was born 10 Oct 1868 in Saline County, IL and died 5 Feb 1933 in Okmulgee, OK. He married Mary "Molly" Ellen (Frisby) Lykins, a widow, on 8 Nov 1907. She was born 16 Jan 1882 and died 27 Dec 1962 at Okmulgee OK. * Test # H10368-- Clark William Hancock is the brother of the above James Clayton Hancock and believed to be the son of William and Rebecca VanderGriff Hancock. Clark was born 15 Oct 1832 probably in Hamilton Co., TN and died 19 Jun 1900 in Saline Co., IL and is buried in the Langford-Hancock Cemetery, Blackmon Rd, Pope Co., IL. He married, first, America Jane Scott and, second, Nancy Shelton. * John Clark Hancock was born 29 Aug 1872 in IL and died 11 Dec 1941. He married Augusta Leora Hancock.
