    3. Interesting idea, Julia, and thanks. My Hancock connection and interest began when I discovered a Hancock family had farmed near my Wm P Stone ancestor in the area of St Joe, on the Buffalo R. in Searcy Co, AR around 1870 and thereafter. Two Hancock sons married Stone daughters. John m. Mary Etta and James m. Martha. I primarily traced the John and Mary Etta branch as it went west to Oregon, taking along GrGrandfather Wm P Stone. Other surnames crossing the Stone paths in that era were Smith and Cruse. An Interesting family. ron in CA On 12/29/2012 12:35 PM, JULIAFWOOD@aol.com wrote: > Dear Hancock family, > > I have just received a notice that our dear friend, Dale Hancock, of > Mississippi passed away on December 17th and know that many of you would want to > know. > > Odessa & Helene and I decided that since we haven't heard from many of our > Hancock friends here on the Hancock list in a long while, it is time that > we all checked in and said hello and maybe you will give us an update on > what is happening with you and yours. > > I am the same (just a lot older).
