And, just to add to the confusion, I have a Francis Marion Hancock, b1839 in Ripley County, IN...served in the IN militia during Civil War. Married to Mary Elizabeth Conn in 1865, two sons Frankie and Benjamin Robert b1869 in Ripley County (or Robert Morris as he was known in Denver, CO approximately 1910). Married my grandmother, Lillie Hancock (that was her maiden surname as well), a son Robert Edward b1921 (my father) and a daughter Marjorie Frances b1917 in Denver, CO.
