    2. Hi, What part of SC? If it is Steven's Creek in Edgefield County, SC, it could be Oliver's son. He moves to Talbot County, GA by 1830s. I have the rest of that line if you need it. Mary Wolfe graylwolfe@aol.com

    3. Hello Hancocks all over the world. I'm looking again for information. I have a Samuel Hancock coming by ship to Balt.Md.in 1823.They don't know where ship departed from.Samuel gave age of 25 which means he was born 1795-96.Also Elizabeth Hancock age 27 with child. Now I don't know if that meant she was pregnant or there was a child. No Samuel Hancock in Balt. in 1830 census.I truly believe these are the parents of my Charles Hancock born 1823.Now in Charles Hancock's Obit it doesn't say he was born in Balt.Md. only that he spent most of his youth there. There is a Charles Hancock b.1798 in Va. and married a Nancy Ramsey in 1820 in Wilson Tn. Also a Samuel Hancock b. July 1796 Franklin Co Nc.married a Anna Avery 1817 in Wilson Tn., can't find info on there children[such as names] or if Samuel married again.I do know that Samuel died in Harrison Co In just down the road from Washington Co In where my Charles settled ,raised a family and died. If anyone has information on Charles Hancock and Nancy Ramsey or Samuel Hancock and Anna Avery would you please send it to me. What a predicament this is. Thanks for any help you give. Tamara

    1. [HANCOCK-L] Descendants of William Hancock
    2. Donna Williams
    3. Hi everyone, I am new to the list. I have a Hancock family that moved from Gloucester to Bristol to Australia. William Hancock was a sawyer, born 1799 at Henbury, Gloucester. He married Amilia ? & died at Redcliffe, Bristol 1849. William & Amilia had at least 4 sons (I am sure there would be others): Mark (b. Henbury 1820), Edwin (b. 1830), Frederick (b. 1837) & James (b. 1846). Mark married Isabella Hannom in 1838. Isabella was a tailoress, born 1816 Fifehead, Dorset. Isabella's parents were John Hammon & Rachael. Mark & Isabella had 3 sons: Frederick Mark (b. 1845), Charles Phillip (b. 1849) & George William (b. 1851). In 1857; Mark, Isabella & the 3 boys set sail for Australia. Mark & Isabella eventually settled at Kilgin (near Woodburn NSW). Looking for any links. Cheers, Donna Williams.
