Is there anyone on this list that could do some research at the Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio for me. I am looking for information on David and Sarah Hancock. I have his estate papers and he must of died before Feb. 1848 in Maumee. They had a son, David H. Hancock and a daughter Mary Jane. I know nothing on Mary Jane or her parents. I do have some information on David H. and wife Roxanne Dyer Hancock. They were all in the same area, all went to Episcopal Church. I wrote to the Church in Maumee, but they did not answer. A lady that sent me the church address said they have a lot of very old records, but she couldn't do research as lived in another state. Is there any one on this list who lives around Maumee, Napoleon, area that could help me? Thanks in advance. If you can help, I have more information that may help. Beverly H. beverlyh@rmi.net

Hi Bill, Sorry to take so long to answer but my server has been down for a while due to all the storms we've been having. I really do not know much about Polly's maternal side. I do know that Walter Nash's first initial was J. and that he was b. (supposedly in VA) in 1844 and that he served in the CW---I assume on the Confederate side. That is all that Aunt Polly knew of her mother's parents. Her mother was adopted in Carthage, TX around 1870-1871. So, as you can see, anything is possible! Sorry I could not be of more help. In the obit on Ann Hancox , I gave the wrong name of the newspaper . It is "The Mystic Pioneer". Wishing you good health and a rainbow day, Minnie Ann Jesus , A Never Ending Friend !
The funeral of Mrs. Ann Hancox, the mother of Mrs. Edward Spalding, was held Monday afternoon from her late residence . There was a very large attendance. The burial service was conducted according to the rites of the Episcopal church by Rev. Eu- gene Creggs , the rector of St. Mark's chuch. The burial was in Elm Grove cemetery. ---------------------------------------------------- >From The Mystic Compas Newspaper New London County, CT and there is no date on it. Hello , 1st cousin: John Wilson Hancock was my G-Grandfather, I have a entire book on his family. BTW----he fathered 14 children, with two wives!! You have MANY cousins. Alvis
I am looking for information on John Wilson Hancock, my GGGgrandfather. He was married to Mary Ann Johnson. All the information that I have now is that he had at least one son named David Robert Hancock, b. 24 Aug 1854, in Upson County, Georgia. David was married to Martha Susan Digby in Pike County, Georgia on 8 January 1874. Does anyone have any information on these people? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Vickie Gardner
Rena, I will check those out sometime today. Yes there is a connection. I am a little lost on the two James Monroe Hancock's. And to top it off, found a third yesterday in our local geneology library. Right now I am trying to sort things out, but haven't had a lot of time to work on it. I will be glad to send you what I have real soon. I have a lot from yesterday that may fit into your line. I will send that also, if you can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Although I am having trouble visiting some of the sights you gave me. I don't know what the problem is. Maybe because I am new at this.
